Welcome
Welcome to Chemical Engineering & Materials Science. Chemical engineering is a field that applies the principles of chemistry to large-scale production of a variety of materials, as well as research and production on a nano scale. The goal for this class is to provide the opportunity to problem solve and apply chemical principles learned in previous classes to engineering scenarios. In addition, various topics serving as an overview of materials science are also covered. These topics include a broad survey of various types of materials with a focus on advanced theories such as molecular orbital theory as well as ligand field theory.
